Terms of Service
Scope:
These are general rules of ebin.club, they affect:
- Pleroma instance https://post.ebin.club
- PeerTube instance https://tube.ebin.club
- To a lesser extent they also affect although these are generally not moderated and have lesser priority due to them not being federated.
- Public chat in any game servers
- User behavior in game servers
Ban from game servers does not mean ban from federated servers and vice-versa.
These do not affect other private user-to-user communications, i.e. we won't take action if someone from our instance is violating rules in your ICQ conversations. If someone is threatening to kill you over phone call the police, not the phone company! We however will take action in drastic situations if see fit.
General Guidelines:
- Take it easy
- Just bee yourself
- Try to resolve things yourself, use mute and block. Reports should be your last resort.
Guidelines are not rules and violation of them cannot be used as grounds for punishment.
General Rules:
- No "loli" images, this includes both real-life and fictional child-like erotica and pornography. "Suggestive" content will be examinated in case-by-case fashion, posting cirno at sea in swimsuit once or twice should be ok but constantly doing it might rise some eyebrows and can result in ban.
- No content that is illegal in EU/Finland. Server is hosted in Finland and must comply with finnish laws, if in doubt check EU laws.
- No block evasion - if someone blocks you don't try to evade the block by creating additional accounts, even on other instances. If there's enough evidence we will take action against your account(s) on ebin club.
- Note that this needs to be an extreme offense, i.e. if you're constantly harrasing people and constantly block-evading. "Accidental" or "unintended" block-evasion, i.e. migrating to a new account entirely or using backup alt during downtime and such will be seen as a valid excuse.
- No drive-by attacks. Joining random threads (especially on TWKN/Known Network/Global timeline/Federated timeline) just to spew slurs and offend participants will result in punishment. Joining random threads uninvited to provide relevant information or to make a joke is fine - if people are offended or angry with your joke - apologize, otherwise it will be considered a "drive-by attack"
- Note that following (and not being blocked by) someone and especially being mutuals with someone will make it less of a "drive-by" but can still be seen as attack. Those will be examined on a case-by-case fashion.
- No doxxing - i.e. no intentional revealing of private information (legal names, addresses etc.
- Mark risque, shocking and explicit media content as sensitive. Links to such content should also use tag
#NSFW
- Exception: non-explicit gachimuchi content does not necessarily need sensitive mark, censored risque gachimuchi (and similar) content is up to user's discretion. Explicit/uncensored gachimuchi (and similar) content does need sensitive mark.
- No spamming (repeating same/similar thing over and over), no flooding (extremely frequent posting. No active exploitation nor DoS attacks. Such activity can and will result in account termination.
- NO BOTS (for now). This includes cross-posting accounts unless you actually use your account yourself and reply from it. If you have a bot idea or not sure if it's ok to use some (semi-)automated posting - contact me - worst case I could host you on sgsgb instead.
Punishment:
Punishment is subject to moderators and admin to choose and depends on severity of violation and other factors. Please remember that we don't have many people operating and moderating this website and we're doing it on our free time, so we're inclined to take more automated/less involved approach to moderation and punishment.
Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the JAM.
Punishment might end up being, but not limited to:
- Disciplinary action ("Hey man, calm down ok? I'm giving you a warning this time.")
- Account suspension (ban), temporary or permanent.
- Force media to be set as NSFW
Service-specific:
Any service-specific rules will be posted on respective service's about/ToS/rules page
TL;DR:
Try to not to get me (admin) into trouble - we want our instance to be on the network with as many other instances as possible, we don't want our instance to be blocked because some of its users keep spamming/harrasing other instances' users. We also want to be able to still exist, i.e. hosted online.
Be civil about it. Trolling, teasing, even being edgy is ok every once in a while, just don't overdo it, ok? Try to be civil. I know it can be hard to do so on the internet especially when you were born here, but if you can't - you probably should join some other instance instead.
